In a new installation a condensing boiler will typically cost £300-400 more, this investment will probably be paid off in around 4 years - the bigger the fuel bill the faster the payback. However in highly insulated homes and with decreasing Gas prices the payback period will be longer - it may even start to approach the life of the boiler.
