|
|
Problems getting hot water. Central heating is fine.
I get hot water when the heating is on and will keeping getting hot water even when the heating is switched off but then after a bit the water temperature drops and will stay that way until I turn the heating on again.
After reading some other posts I suspected the 3-way valve. I took off the head and I could see the motor working when heating was switched on. The spindle was turning freely on the main body of the valve but started leaking.
Have I suspected the right part?
If so I need a Honeywell V4044C1577. Can I get a reconditioned one of these as new one is around £130.
Thanks for any advice. |

| If you as you say have a potterton combi boiler you will not have a three way diverter valve. Do you have a hot water cylinder or not. Need to clarify this before anyone can help. |

The lynx 2 service instruction definately calls it a 3-way diverter valve.
This is a combi system and the valve is within the boiler. |

| sorry from your description sounded like the honeywell valves used on system or open vent heating. |
