Has any one had much experience with old warm air units you tend to find in pre fab council houses, the one in question sits in a cupboard in the kitchen and is about the size of a fridge freezer, it needs to be decomissioned and removed is this a big job for one man, becuase it looks like it weighs a tonne or can it easily be removed??

Yes, if you are strong.

There is nothing wrong with warm air, some of us are still fitting this stuff. Anyone who may have told you that it is less efficient than a gas condenser is misinformed, or out on the make.
