OK anyone with some advise I would welcome your feedback.

I have just found out tonight that my water cylinder is broke, or getting very dangerous and needs replacing.
Now not being technical in the ways of plumbing or the tech talk, I think it is called an unvented pressurised hot water cylinder.

The question is what is a fair and reasonable price for replacing one of these? It is a 250 ltr that is in there at the moment.

How long should this take to replace and what brand is best to use? I have done some checking on the intrnet and can see brands such as Crown, Santon, Heatrea Sadia, Telford, Albion, Range? Non of them mean anything to me!

Any feedback wuld be appreciated... The Cylinder is easy to get to and very exposed in the loft and full access BTW

many thanks

First things first no such thing as a unvented pressurised cylinder.
It is either unvented or pressurised.
Do you have an expansion vessel and safety release valves next to the cylinder if so it is non vented system.
Check the plate on the cylinder it will tell you exactly what it is.
Can give you a guesstimate then where are you located.

Keith
How do you know your cylinder is "broke" who told u ?what is the exact problem.
These systems are very expensive to buy and installation has to be a suitable qualified fitter not any plumber.
How old is the system? they come with a long guarantee should be listed with installation dtae on side of cylinder.
There are a few parts which can fail on this system which are easily sorted.
