There seems to be allot of confusion lately on whether or not gas pipes can be run in floor voids on new build properties, usually consisting of wooden I beams sandwiched between 22mm Weyroc chipboard and plasterboard. On reading this months gas installer I saw an article (page 18 Avoiding confusion about floor voids) commenting that in Febs edition there was an article explaning where corgi actually stand on this issue, unfortunately I recently moved house and took a while to get my mail redirected and didnt get too see febs edition, what did the article in the feb edition basically say, are floor voids been classed as a sealed void or is there enough adventitious ventilation to allow the pipes to be put in voids???????
