About six months ago I had a new boiler and thermostat fitted. The new boiler has been located in the garage so a wireless thermostat has been used (Drayton Digistat RF3 and SCR Unit). All has been working fine until recently when the following problem has arisen: I get up in the morning and the house is cold, I check the thermostat and the flame symbol is visable but no heating on. I check in the garage and the SCR unit has a constant red light on it. I go back to the thermostat and turn the heating down (off) then up again (on) and heating comes on as it should. I've checked the manual and it says the SCR unit isn't receiving a signal from the thermostat and I should remove the batteries, let the display go blank, then re-install them. I've tried this and it seems to work for a few days and then the same problem re-appears. I've tried changing the batteries for new ones - same problem. Does the cold of being in the garage have any effect on the SCR unit or has anyone else had the same problem?

Any help gratefully received.
