WARM –AIR SYSTEMS
Warm air is ideal for new build applications. Access for ducting is easily designed into a new house.
With the correct number & size of grills, room air temperature is very even.

TYPES of GRILLS:
Diffusers - (these direct air in two opposed fanned arrangements)
Grills - have air direction adjusters.

Outlet and return air grills may be hidden behind wall or ceiling beams. Having larger ductwork, with adequate grills and a slower running fan may eliminate air noise.

THERMAL MASS
A substantial proportion of selfbuilds are of timber frame construction. Timber framed house usually contain little thermal mass. Thermal mass absorbs heat and will later give it back to a room. Thermal mass also stabilises temperatures by absorbing excess heat. A house with little thermal mass may suffer from temperature fluctuations. Low thermal mass houses benefit with a highly responsive heating/cooling system, making warm air suitable.
