Hi all

Im about to change the diagphram on the valve assembly on an Alpha CB28 combi boiler. At the moment i need to have the hot tap full on before the boiler will fire. Its about 5 years old now.

I know i have to remove the heat exchanger and remove the divertor valve assembly to do this, but before i start is there anything i need to be especially wary of ?

Also if im removing the heat exchanger plate is it worth descaling it and trying to remove any black gunk at the same time, if so what product /method is best to use to do this ?

Should i drain the cyclone and clean the mains water inlet filter too ?

Any help would be welcomed.

Many thanks

Mike
