Hi
My toilet is slow to flush... when the handle is pressed the water level first rises to about half-way up the bowl before starting to drain, which it does slower than normal.

This sounds like a part blockage to me but as I have a macerator (which sounds as though it is runnning normally) I am reluctant to plunge the toilet.

Does anyone know if plunging a macerator toilet is ok?

Many thanks
Gary

Thats usual for a macerator toilet!

Unless the operation has changed recently!

No point in plunging it and that might cause damage!

Cheers Tony
Turns out the sewerage drain was blocked where it went out to the road - about 8' deep water when we lifted the man-hole cover!
Thanks anyway,
GP
