Hi gary I agree the ccs card is £30 as well as most sites wont accept the paper certificate. One point worth mentioning is that if you are an amicus union member you can get bthe card(£30) free by supplying your union number

Hi Gary i think the test was about £60 but you need to purchase a book to study from another £9 money making scam for them.As for the card for a plumber it was either the blue or gold card.blue if you have level 2 city and guilds .gold if you have level 3 city and guilds. The test was quite easy took me about 10mins to do 50 questions but without the book to revise from it could be tricky.Another point worth mentioning is that if you have recently(in the past 2 years)i think it is done an nvq/city and guilds corse you are exempt from the test and can apply for the card as long as you photo copy your certificate as part of the nvq was health and safety.Dont quote me on this but im sure it said this on the card application form it would be worth checking .The local test centre near me did the tests up untill 4.30pm.I agree with you ive just taken the partL energy efficiency £120 and Im still wondering what the £120 was for as i did not learn alot.
