Strip seal between bottom edge of shower screen and bath????

This will probably sound like a really daft question, but I have searched and searched and have not found anyone offering what I need...

About 2 uears ago we had a complete bathroom installation (this was by B&Q - worst mistake of our lives - but that's another story altogether!).

Along the bottom edge of the shower screen there is a platic strip which is there to prevent water from going between the bottom of the screen and the top edge of the bath. This particular strip fits around the bottom edge (if that makes sense) and so if you were to be fitting it you would just slot/side it on to the bottom edge of the screen.

The problem we have...

Since the installation the strip has become very discoloured, and has also split with the door opening/closing.

We just need another strip, but I can not find one anywhere. I know of "stripseal", but this is different to what our screen currently has (you wouldn't need to glue our strip to the screen, as it fits over the bottom edge - hope that makes sense!).

The only other advice I have read is to look for the manufacturer of the screen, and then call their services department to order the part - unfortunaetly since it was fitted by B&Q as part of their installation service, we have no record of the manufacturer of the screen - I have searched all over it and there is no identifying info on it.

There must be some generic seal strips around that will fit - I did hit on a website which I think may have offered what we were after, but it was kind of difficult to understand (all diagrams and no pictures) and they were asking around £50 for a single strip - surely this is daylight robbery lol!!

Any help would be so much appreciated!!! (as trivial as my problem sounds, my fiancee has been on by back for so long about this and it really is grinding me down into the finest of fine powders now lol!! I mean, how difficult can it be to get hold of one of these things??)

Why not just use silicone setting sealant?

is that for fixed shower doors, or can you use it on doors that open and close?

No, I thought you were asking about a fixed screen.

You will probably have to look in B&Q for something similar on a new shower and contact the makers of that one.

If its what I think it is then its a glass screen that covers about 1000 mm from the tap end and does not have to be opened. Most people just leave it in place and add silicone.
