booster pump and surrey flange installed and working ok,every two weeks or so hot water will not run and pump doesn't activate, although cold does ,hot water pipe work seems to be airlocked and once drained works fine then seems to lock up, no leaks visible, tried all possible faults none detected,pump faulty or ?????

When this happens is there water in the cistern?

Is the pump removing the water to fast? What happens if you slow the flow?

hi Tony
tried pump on all settings and tank is full when used , manufacturers recommend negative head kit but have a positive head ???????????????????

Yes but is cistern still full when the problem occurs???

as far as im aware,checking the inlet valve maybe the next step on cws as you said perhaps cws is emptying before filling hwt and filling pipe work with air before having chance to fill ??????????
i have never been there when problem occurs but removing air from pipe from hot feed to pump solves problem then seems to fill again ???
