hi all, i have an ariston euro combi boiler, model number sx20 mffice. the problem i am having is that i can get no hot water when the radiators are not on, but even now the water only stays hot for a while then only goes luke warm.
we get it serviced every 6 months or so and the service engineer says it has something to do with sludge in the pipes and he wants £180 labour to sort it out.
is he correct or could it be another problem
thanks
tony

thanks, he said the diverter and diaphram were fine, he said that he had to put some flushing out agent in and keep the heating on for a full 2 weeks, gonna cost me a fortune.
do u think that flushing out only would do the trick
thanks

So the boiler is serviced every 6 months. Why is that? Makers ask for boiler to be serviced every 12. Some firms do not even do this (even though you pay them to service the boiler)
My advice to you would be you ditch your engineer and look for one that knows what it is all about. Posting you location might help.
