Hi all
im what i call a jobbing plumber ,but the last few weeks have been very quiet,im in the north west ,between manchester and wigan.anybody else finding it quiet out ther.

havent seen any polish plumbers as yet ,but were swamped with asylum seekers (dont no if there plumbers though)local merchants say there seems to be a slow down in sales.

Been a bit quiet in my patch (north Kent)picking up now though booked up for about 3/4 weeks just priced 2 today,looking a bit more promising now.

Theres no work at all! Everywhere is overun with every bodger who has a spanner set and two weeks training or a CD rom off Ebay and thinks they are a plumber - they will undercut every price

we can't keep on going like this as they are cost us our livly hoods but the only way the offical ie corgi goverment seem to try and tackle it is to put extra costs on the pro's thurs putting our costs up so we pass them to the customer who don't employe us then to to do the job because we have quote more to do the job than the unquilified cowboy from down the st. the goverment needs to sort it some how quick enough in collecting their taxes
