Hello all

I would appreciate plumbers stance on the best way to treat systems before installing a new boiler.

I always treated the system with DS40...a laborious task that does 'test' the condition of old systems pipework and valves.

Whilst the Powerflush does the same job, Ive always been of the understanding that this cant be used on Microbore systems with twin entry rad valves and spreaders, as the pressure pushed off the spreaders.

I know of plumbers who will 'mains pressure' the system which as far as I am concerned is a powerflush without the chemicals. How can you assume a twin panneled radiator will receive same flow and cleansing on each panel with powerflushing?

Also is the old fernox inhibitor powder still available as Sentinel and MB1 are not as efective as they claim to be. (That is my opinion only)

Appreciate an input

Regards

David
