Hello to everyone,

We have condensation problems in the bathroom and in one of the back bedrooms. The extractors are quite old. And also the bathroom is windowless.
We invited a company to have a look and suggest a long term solution. They proposed the introduction of a Flatmaster 5+ system and they quoted us about 1300 pounds for the system and installation fees.
Unfortunately we could not get a second opinion localy, because most of the companies REFUSE to deal with condensation. Some even said that there is NO SOLUTION to it. So, in the entire town of Edinburgh we found only one company willing to come to have a look. So, I'm looking here for another opinion.
1. Would there be another solution?
2. Is this system known as reliable? Any known faults or hidden long term problems?
3. Is the price within the expected range for this type of work?
Please hep, thanks!

Cristian

Dare I say it but looks expensive, a good diyer could do it for 2/3 hundred quid in a day.

Have you tried a dehumidifier, very good in small rooms, also remove any gloss paint from the walls.
