For each kg of natural gas approximately 2kg of water vapour is produced and a condensing boiler when fully condensing can produce about a pint of liquid / hour. Because the flue gases are cool they tend to form a noticeable mist or 'plume' around the terminal. This is not a problem - in fact it's a sign that the boiler is working - but you may wish to site the boiler away from doors or paths that you use regularly in the winter.
The only difference to the installer is that there must be somewhere to drain the condensate to. In new houses this should not be a problem so if a plumber tells you they are difficult to install ask how many they have fitted and decide for yourself.
