My reliable and efficient central heating boiler has just been condemned by British Gas on the basis of two small rust holes, probably no bigger than 1mm2 in total. Needless to say the boiler is obsolete, the manufacturer no longer stocks replacement cases, and I am told that repairs are not acceptable, even though it is a simple case of replacing a flat piece of sheet metal. Does anyone have a case available, before I have to replace the complete boiler? (It's the upper case, rather than the slide out cover for the controls). The part no. is 429822, and the boiler no. is 413157
