Hello experts !
My husband replaced our hot water tank a couple of years ago. Now we are selling our house, the 'solicitors questions' state that we need building regs approval if it was replaced after Apr 2002 (which it was). I rang the local building control, and they said I just need to get a corgi registered plumber round to check it and issue us with a certificate. A rang a corgi registered plumber and he had no idea what I was talking about.
Can anyone advise me what I need and how to get it, pdq.
Many thanks
K

That sounds like an ordinary cylinder fed from a cistern and not an unvented cylinder. If that is the case, building control is not interested and you don't require any sort of approval.
