i have a question in regards to the usage of my secondary return on my
Arsiton 125L Unvented Hot Water Cylinder.
In the old days of the gravity fed systems there were issues when a
person taking a shower would lose both temperature and flow if another
person turned the kitchen tap on. To overcome this a Surrey flange as
introduced. My unvented tank does not have this and due to having only
15mm copper pipes everywhere I can end up in a similar situation that
used to happen all those many moons ago.
Now my tank has a secondary return and I understand that most people
use it as a type of extension of the tank itself providing a hot water
loop for far away hot water delivery points which means I would need
to pump the water meaning that I would need to place a non-return
valve on the same network.
Now I don't see a problem, or is there a problem, in not installing a
non-return valve or a pump but to take the secondary return and
connect my shower to it directly that is less than 1m pipework away. |
