Just installed a Ideal Icos HE24, on a open vent S plan. When heating or hot water is on,as the boiler temperature rises a noise starts which is a cross between a whistling and a high pitched binding. The noise only starts at a certain temp because if you turn the stat on the front up to the 3rd setting its fine, let it run like that for an hour or so, turn it a fraction more and the noise starts within a few seconds, turn it down and it stops in a minute. Its not kettling because the stats only turned up halfway and although the rads are hot they are by no means boiling hot and its not a booming or a banging noise. Ideal say whistling noises can be caused by heat not getting away from the boiler, but its 28mm throughout could it be a case the grunfos 15/50 set on the highest setting isn't circulating the water enough. Have been told several different causes, such as sludge in system, the air gas ratio needs resetting by Ideal, scaled heat exchanger, jammed pump valves etc, everything works as it should and gets hot as it should just this annoying noise, its had new pump, zone valves, rad valves, power flushed anyone have any ideas...?? gas rates are correct

Ideal have now mentioned that the seal around flue could be responsible, if damaged a whistling noise takes place when fan speeds up....
