Hoping somebody can help out a DIY novice here?
I've bought an electric shower that says it's suitable for low pressure (1bar). However, I've been told that my boiler can cope with 3 bar.
My question is, can the shower cope with the extra pressure that the boiler will give it or is the boiler to powerful for the shower?
Thanks! |

I am afraid that you dont understand enough about your system.
You have bought a low pressure shower designed for a loft tank fed system.
Your boiler is presumably a combi. If so then its hot water is mains derived and probably 2-3 Bar.
I expect you have bought the wrong type.
In future if you specify the boiler and shower make and models then we can give you more exact advice.
