| HI I SUDIED FOR MY nvq level 2 and just took a few pictures of me taking measurements with u guage (manometerand then when i was getting to the end of the portfolio ( a very long winded file it was) I realised that they were neither use nor ornament they are a extra and not required so my advice would be not to put any in because you don't have to !!! |

Hi
you require to cover a bathroom installation and 2 of the following items you can choose and 2 items on each
1.hotwater 2. coldwater 3.heating 4.waste
so if you choose heating and cold water you could have photos of fitting a rad for the 1st and fitting a boiler for the second on heating ,and for cold water fitting a sink and say fitting a toilet.Yopu also require pictures of :-
tool staorage - site shed or van
safe use of power tools pic of using drill etc
safe work access pic of clear room where working
ladders pic of u on step ladders and normal ladder
there are also pics required for maintanance tasks and faults so get as many pics of things like changing ball valve /sink waste seal trap loss/gate valve / rad valve /tap washer/
decomissioning hot and cold- pic of capped pipes to bath etc and waste
these are just the ones i remember there is more than you think. just buy a cheap cammera and take photos of all you do they will come in handy for a poftfolio if you go for another job
hope this helps

| Yeah, when I did my level 2, I had to get H & S photo's (zip up tower, ladder, lifting etc) plus bathroom, guttering, lead, cylinder etc. These had to be taken by the tutor. So I don't know if taking em yourself will count. PS, not wanting to put a downder on it (as it may have just been my college) but I found the course pretty crappy and mostly a waste of time. Time better spent as a jobbing plumbers mate. |
