I have noticed over the last few weeks that the small header tank in the attic is pushing water out of the overflow pipe when the boiler is turned on (not a large amount of water) but never noticed before. I am wondering if this is normal?
Boiler is Baxi Solo 40pf.

it could be a faulty boiler stat , blocked cold feed , incorrectly configured need more information

I have a similar problem that I'm looking for some help in understanding the cause. Since having a new kitchen installed a few weeks ago an increasing amount of water is being vented into the header tank causing it to overflow, particularly first thing in the morning or when no water has been used for a while. Plumbing for the kitchen sink was replaced and a hot water supply for the washing machine introduced. Any ideas why it is overflowing and advice as to what to do/rough guide as to how much I should expect to pay to get it fixed would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys, I had a look into the tank and it looks as if the arm holding the float (ball) is too long and is catching on the wall of the tank.
I have adjusted and hopefully this is it...! Fingers crossed.
